![]() The heavy filter is exactly how Clover wanted the game to be seen as, as if everything was on paper instead of being able to discern 3D objects due to the cel-shading visuals used in the game. On the heavy filter for example, I've could see how the flowers for example pop up on the screen as if they were exact water color paintings, but other objects could prove to be too bright at the same time as well (if you balance it with your TV settings, it could look good however). What the filter does is that it makes the game's background and objects stand out more. Without going into too much technical details, originally Okami on the PS2 had a filter option which can be set to light, normal or heavy. I had the bad luck of playing this before FF-X and FF-XII, and while they're still my favourite, sometimes I'm just like, the heck? People actually write this? However value wise, its on par with FF with the sprawling stories and the length of game time it provide. ![]() Its better than any Final Fantasy, gameplay and story wise, and everything in between. This will be the best gaming money you have ever spend. I remember thinking "please for the love of god stop the stories, I have a life to live", but just like your favourite drama series, you would always care and still wanna know whats next, even though you're exhausted already. That is why I love it so much, because I never expect it to last so damn long, with so much story. Every time you think you've reach the ending of the game, suddenly more content jumps out. I highly highly recommend everyone to give this a go. I remember it took me 2-3 months to clear on PS2. Oh and lets not forget if you do everything, and I mean everything, every secret, read every lore, take your time around, its going to take you hundred of hours(plus restart boss fight/ certain area if you die, and did not save ). Now my dream has come true, best birthday present from Capcom. My review for Okami would be: Effing beautiful art, Effing beautiful soundtrack, Effing beautiful gameplay, Effing worth it(vanilla version, not the Issun Strap or Snowglobe scam edition )ītw still holding out for the disc version XD resisting the dark side.Įver since companies release re-master PS2 classic for PS3, I was begging that Okami will be redone, lost hope when Capcom kick Clover out the door, and raped the Wii version(the ending and filter fiasco). And game that make me cry will forever be held up as Its one of the two games that made me shed manly tears, the other is Journey. I have loved it since I got my PS2 before my SPM exam(mum's way to relieving stress, thanks mum )Anyway been playing it for 2 days now, effing beautiful, tears were rolling even before I reach 30 minutes gametime, so beautiful. Okami HD will be available for download exclusively on PS3 in North America and Europe this fall. To top things off, we know everyone loves Trophies, so Okami HD will support PS3 Trophies, (including a Platinum) giving you new challenges to face and feats to complete. ![]() That said, if you’re just in the mood to relive Okami in HD with the same controls as you had on your PS2, you can also play with your traditional PS3 controllers. To create an even more immersive experience, you can take your PlayStation Move motion controller and use it as your own Celestial Brush and naturally make brush strokes to defeat enemies and solve puzzles. The trademark sumi-e ink art style lends itself perfectly to HD, allowing players to experience more of the awe-inspiring world displayed in more detail than ever before. I did not think it was possible to make the game look even better, but when I saw it for myself, I was a believer. Okami HD brings Amaterasu’s epic tale to the PS3 with fully integrated HD graphics and widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio. After a tyrannical monster, Orochi, turns the world into a ruined, colorless wasteland, Amaterasu must use her magical abilities to restore the land to its previous glory and defeat the demon in charge of the destruction. ![]() ![]() Initially released to critical acclaim on the PS2, Okami HD has the player take on the role of Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess, who inhabits the form of a wolf. Grab your Celestial Brush! I’m pleased to confirm that this fall, gamers will be able to return to the land of Nippon in Okami HD, exclusively on the PS3 with PlayStation Move support.
